Below is a short presentation I created showing the build process. When we first moved out here, there was an old building on the site, which I restored and converted into the observatory with the help of some friends.
A short ‘walk-around’ video tour of the observatory. You can see the main computer under the telescope area in the preview above, it’s connected to 2 x 30″ monitors, one in the control room, and another upstairs in the observatory area, along with keyboard / mouse etc, so I can control everything from either location. The observatory includes a bunk, jug (for coffee), a fireplace and microwave 🙂 it’s a cosy little place, even has a TV, which is used as a monitor for computer number 2, so I can display a live feed of the camera for any guests if needed.
